		Welcome to the Washington State Office of Public Defense Brief Bank
		The Washington State Office of Public Defense Brief Bank contains over 12,000 briefs filed for indigent appeals in the Washington State Courts of Appeal and Washington State Supreme Court in the last ten or more years. The Brief Bank is not a complete collection of all indigent appellate briefs which have been filed. These briefs were collected over the years by the Office of Public Defense and by contract attorneys. Current briefs are added monthly.
		Our briefs are in Adobe Acrobat format. To view the briefs you will need Adobe Acrobat reader. The software is free from Adobe’s download site. Clicking the Get Adobe Reader link will take you to the Adobe site where you can download this software.
		Use of the briefs presented in this format is for reference purposes only and not as a substitute for original research and writing. The briefs provided are not part of the official court record.
